Glow Construction Ltd. is seeking a skilled Framing and Carpentry Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the framing and installation of residential buildings.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare Building Layouts: Use measuring tools to create accurate layouts in accordance with building codes.
- Carpentry and Joinery: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
- Estimating and Quoting: Prepare tenders and quotations for clients.
- Installation and Fitting: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
- Site Management: Schedule and coordinate work on sites, ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Surveying and Supervision: Conduct site surveys and supervise other workers to ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
- Cost Estimation: Estimate costs and materials required for projects.
This role requires working outdoors in various weather conditions. You will be part of a dynamic team that values teamwork, safety, and quality workmanship.
Requirements- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Work Setting: Construction, residential.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling; combination of sitting, standing, walking; handling heavy loads; physically demanding.
- Work Term: Permanent.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 35 hours per week.
