We are seeking a skilled Wood Frame Carpenter to join our team at BIG BEN CONSTRUCTION INC. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure, Cut, Shape, Assemble, and Join Materials: Utilize expertise to measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to ensure high-quality construction.
  • Build Foundations and Install Floor Beams: Construct foundations and install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to meet project requirements.
  • Fitting and Installing Windows, Doors, Stairs, Mouldings, and Hardware: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a seamless and secure construction process.
  • Apprentice Training and Guidance: Provide instruction and guidance to apprentices to develop their skills and knowledge in wood frame construction.
  • Cost Estimation and Material Management: Estimate costs and manage materials to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in wood frame construction.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
