Key Responsibilities
  • Layout and Measurement: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Material Handling: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Construction and Installation: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Finishing Touches: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Site Conditions: Work at heights, in confined spaces, in noisy environments, and in dusty conditions.
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, and working in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, with overtime required.
