Job SummaryThe successful candidate will provide trauma-focused counseling and therapy services for children, youth, and adults affected by emotional, physical, or sexual abuse, as well as those experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and trauma.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individual and group counseling sessions for children, youth, and adults
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on a holistic approach
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide support for children, youth, and families
- Maintain accurate and timely case notes and records
- Provide reports and updates as required
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
- Registration with a licensed Professional Association
- Experience working with First Nations people and communities
- Extensive training and experience in Critical Incident Stress debriefing (CISD) and trauma processing
- Knowledge of various therapeutic and counselling modalities
