Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Cable Repair Technician to join our team at TDX Infrastructure Services. This role involves working in various environments, primarily outdoors, and requires a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting 1 to 2 years.
  • Experience: Willingness to learn; prior experience is not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections and tests on cable signals and related equipment.
  • Repair and troubleshoot cable signal issues.
  • Utilize testing equipment to identify transmission faults.
  • Install trunking systems, circuits, and necessary equipment.
  • Climb poles, ladders, or other structures to perform installations.
  • Manage cable outlets by connecting, disconnecting, and relocating as needed.
  • Set up cable modems and software for Internet connectivity.
  • Replace or repair defective cables, power supplies, and amplifiers.
  • Perform splicing, joining, and connecting of wires.
Travel Requirements
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Access to personal transportation.
  • Willingness to travel, including extended periods if necessary.
Physical Demands
