The Missouri Historical Society is committed to fostering a culture of inclusion and excellence. As a Database Administrator, you will play a critical role in supporting our development efforts by providing a broad range of information services.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer and manage the Missouri Historical Society's Altru database to ensure data integrity, ease of use, and accuracy of exported data.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance.
- Train users on the fund development software to ensure consistency in data entry and consumption.
- Provide technical support to database users and coordinate with vendors and staff on environment upgrades and changes.
- Oversee data entry activities to ensure timely, efficient, and accurate processing, acknowledgement, and fulfillment of contributions.
- Perform and/or oversee all database administration functions, including scheduling of database maintenance, security, duplicate record merging, clean-up tasks, and quality control audits.
- Manage and oversee the generation of financial and demographic reports, as well as mailing lists, invitation lists, recognition lists, and other data extractions as requested.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in database fund development software administration in a nonprofit setting.
- Proficiency in Altru or other fund development software, Crystal Reports, Microsoft Excel, and other MS Office applications.
