Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Truck Driver to join our team at CARSTAR VEHICLE RELOCATION SERVICES INC. This role involves transporting goods efficiently while ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Maintain professionalism in all interactions.
  • Team Driving: Collaborate as part of a two-person team or convoy.
  • Vehicle Operation: Drive specialized lighter trucks and manage loading and unloading of cargo.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee vehicle condition, performing inspections on tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage.
  • Financial Transactions: Handle payments for goods transported.
  • Emergency Repairs: Conduct roadside repairs as necessary.
  • Inspections: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring all vehicle aspects are monitored.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Carry out regular maintenance checks.
  • Communication: Relay information to central dispatch and record cargo details, service hours, distance, and fuel usage.
  • Safety Protocols: Ensure cargo safety and security, including tarping and handling hazardous materials.
Qualifications
  • Licenses: Must possess an AZ class license and Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Background Checks: Successful completion of a driving record check and drug test.
Work Environment
  • Physical Demands: Ability to handle heavy loads and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Work Schedule: This is an on-the-road position requiring approximately 35 hours of work per week.
  • Job Type: Permanent employment.
