Manufacturing Associate

We are seeking a dedicated team-oriented individual to become a part of our sawmill production facility. The ideal candidate will possess a natural inclination to operate in a safe and efficient manner. This is an entry-level opportunity with comprehensive on-the-job training available for successful applicants. Production staff will have the potential to advance rapidly to higher wage levels and develop their careers within our organization.
In this role, you will collaborate with some of the most skilled professionals in the industry, working under the guidance of an innovative leader in the forest products sector. This position is full-time and requires availability for graveyard shifts.
The position demands both physical and mental endurance, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong awareness of your environment. You will be engaged with conveyor systems, industrial machinery, and mobile equipment.
As a Production Associate, your duties will encompass, but are not limited to:
- Shoveling, lifting, and transporting boards and debris while maintaining site cleanliness in various weather conditions.
- Rotating through diverse job functions and responsibilities within your designated area throughout the manufacturing facility. Ensure accuracy and precision in your work. Follow schedules to uphold production timelines. Utilize your knowledge and skills to analyze, troubleshoot, and communicate effectively with your team lead and maintenance personnel to resolve issues.
- Taking accountability for fostering a safe working environment for colleagues, customers, and site visitors.
For this role, you should possess:
- A safety-conscious mindset
- The capability to perform repetitive manual tasks for extended durations, including stacking lumber, standing for long periods, walking, shoveling, climbing stairs, bending, and lifting weights up to 50 lbs
- Experience with machinery and equipment is advantageous but not required
- Strong teamwork abilities and effective collaboration skills with peers
- A high level of urgency and meticulous attention to detail
The hourly wage for this position is: $32.24
