About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Meat Packer to join our team at A&T Grocery. As a Meat Packer, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe processing of meat products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation and Handling: Transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
  • Packing and Packaging: Manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers, and feed flattened boxes into forming machines to construct containers.
  • Machine Operation: Feed and unload processing machines, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal machine performance.
  • Quality Control: Check products and packaging for basic quality defects, and report any issues to supervisors.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Clean machines and immediate work areas, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Work Environment and Requirements
  • Work Conditions: Work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, and maintain attention to detail to ensure quality products.
  • Physical Capabilities: Perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting, and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Experience and Training: Will train on the job, and have a strong work ethic and ability to learn new skills.
  • Language and Schedule: Work in an English-speaking environment, and have a flexible schedule with 30-40 hours per week.
