We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer - Robotics Expert to join our team of experts in San Francisco and Toronto. As a key member of our Grocery Team, you will be responsible for designing and developing creative software solutions to improve our fleet of robots in production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software solutions to improve the efficiency and accuracy of our robots
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software code, ensuring it meets our standards for reliability, scalability, and maintainability
  • Work closely with our robotics engineers to integrate software solutions with hardware components
  • Contribute to the development of our software architecture, ensuring it is scalable, flexible, and adaptable to changing business needs
  • Participate in code reviews, providing feedback and guidance to junior developers
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to improve our software solutions

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on robotics and automation
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Golang, Python, and C++
  • Experience with Linux environments and containerization
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop creative solutions
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience with control systems, real-time systems, distributed systems, machine vision, machine learning, robotic manipulation, material handling, industrial automation, physical or discrete event simulation, applied statistics, and design of experiments
