Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welding Machine Operator to join our team at ISHOP JEWELLERY LTD. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for operating manual and semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate and repair metal parts and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welding Operations
    • Interpret welding process specifications and ensure compliance with quality standards.
    • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, including robotic welding production lines.
    • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, and manuals.
    • Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications.
  • Metal Fabrication
    • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
    • Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create and modify designs.
    • Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines.
    • Fabricate and repair metal parts and products using various welding techniques.
  • Equipment Maintenance
    • Start up, shut down, adjust, and monitor robotic welding production lines.
    • Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
    • Stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in welding or a related field.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Flexibility and ability to work in a team environment.
    • Reliability and attention to detail.
Working Conditions
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 32 hours per week.
