Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installer to join our team at TRIO DRYWALL AND PAINT INC. The ideal candidate will have experience in drywall installation, including measuring, cutting, and fitting drywall sheets, as well as applying successive coats of compound and sanding seams and joints.

Responsibilities
  • Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets to specifications
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for drywall installation
  • Cut openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts, and electrical outlets
  • Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied
  • Install exterior and interior steel studs
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation
  • Or equivalent experience
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a dusty environment, with various locations, including commercial and residential settings. The work setting will be varied, with the candidate working in employer's/client's home.

Working Conditions

The candidate will work 30 to 40 hours per week, with a permanent work term. The work language will be English.
