Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Barista to join our team at Compass Canada. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and related beverages to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Welcome customers by determining their coffee interests and needs, and provide exceptional service to ensure a positive experience.
- Coffee Preparation: Prepare coffee drinks by following established recipes and preparation techniques, including espresso, cafe latte, and cappuccino.
- Sales and Marketing: Sell coffee and coffee-related products by explaining the benefits and features of different coffee beans and brewing equipment.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventories by replenishing coffee bean supplies, stocking coffee brewing equipment, and ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
- Equipment Maintenance: Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, and performing preventive maintenance.
- Quality and Safety: Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations, and improve quality results by studying and evaluating processes.
Requirements:
- Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
- Previous Experience: Previous work experience as a Barista is an asset.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Physical Ability: Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
