Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intermediate Project Manager to join our team at BWX Technologies, Inc.

This role will involve leading small to medium-sized projects within our existing product lines, ensuring successful contract execution and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage technical, cost, and schedule requirements on assigned contracts.
  • Lead teams comprised of engineering, project engineering, project planners/cost estimators, QA/QC, and field operations.
  • Provide effective leadership through clear communication and instilling accountability within the project team.
  • Interface with customers to ensure contract requirements are met.
  • Develop growth opportunities in Field Service business line and identify areas for improvement.
  • Take corrective action to ensure compliance with technical specifications and schedule commitments.
  • Develop proposals for Field Service projects and lead technical and commercial negotiations with customers.
  • Coordinate subcontracting efforts to ensure outsourced work scopes meet technical requirements.
  • Lead negotiation on routine contract changes and resolve technical and/or commercial issues with customers and subcontractors.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of project management experience, preferably in the nuclear industry.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to effectively lead teams and communicate expectations clearly.
  • Experience in contract management and negotiation.
  • Willingness to travel and work in the field as required.
