About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker II to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. Reporting to the Maintenance & Operations Assistant Manager, this role will perform a variety of semi-skilled and unskilled tasks related to the upkeep of our properties and related infrastructure.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, monitoring, maintaining, and servicing all grounds and facility-related infrastructure and equipment, as well as aiding other maintenance and operations trades as required.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a successful completion of a 1-year certificate or diploma in a technical trade, such as electrical, plumbing, or carpentry, or a registered apprentice. A 4th Class Power Engineer certificate may also be considered.

The ideal candidate will have 3 months of relevant work experience and be able to work shifts. Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset.

Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent, full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly. The hourly rate is $26.35. Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
