About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Refinishing Technician to join our team at MAPLE LEAF MARINAS HOLDINGS GP INC. as a key member of our maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components to ensure vehicles are restored to their original condition.
  • File, grind and sand body surfaces to be repaired, utilizing precision techniques to achieve a flawless finish.
  • Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting, ensuring a smooth and even application.
  • Hammer out dents, buckles and defects using blocks and hammers, requiring attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts into place, demonstrating mechanical aptitude.
  • Repair or replace damaged windows, windshields and sunroofs, showcasing expertise in glasswork and panel replacement.
  • Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams, requiring a strong understanding of materials and techniques.
  • Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment, demonstrating knowledge of structural repair.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
  • Perform tasks that require bending, crouching, kneeling, and manual labor, with a focus on safety and ergonomics.
  • Work a standard 35-hour week, with opportunities for overtime as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management in English, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
