About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team at WSP Canada. As a key member of our Resources Engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and developing structural systems for industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop structural systems for industrial projects, including concrete and steel structures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical quality and cost effectiveness
  • Provide guidance and support to junior engineers and designers
  • Conduct site investigations and inspections to evaluate conditions of existing structures
  • Develop and maintain technical reports and construction specifications
  • Travel to client sites to attend project meetings and conduct field reviews
Requirements
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) within the Province of Ontario in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Over 7 years of relevant experience in the design of concrete and steel structures in Canada
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of programs
  • Proficiency in application of Canadian Codes and Standards
  • Proficiency in structural design software S-Frame, Staad Pro, or SAP
