About the Role

We are seeking an Indigenous Social Worker to join our team at the Niagara Catholic District School Board. As a key member of our student support services team, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and personal success of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide social work services to students, including individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and case management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support student achievement and well-being, in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other school staff.
  • Build relationships with students, families, and community partners to promote student success and well-being.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in Indigenous social work and student support services.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • Experience working with Indigenous students and communities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
