FULL-TIME General Labourer Roles

Position Overview:

As a vital member of the Conestoga team, you will contribute to the production of specialty and retail pork products that are distributed to over 30 countries from one of Canada's largest pork processing facilities. In addition to production tasks, you will have opportunities to train in specialized roles such as knife handling or machine operation, enhancing your skill set. Work Environment:

  • Measuring and adding ingredients to mixing and grinding machines

  • Constructing containers from flattened boxes
  • Manually packing goods into various containers
  • Maintaining cleanliness of work areas and equipment
  • Conducting quality checks on products and packaging
  • Assisting machine operators and other staff as needed
  • Sorting and packaging materials and products
  • Performing general labour duties as required
  • Transporting materials and products within the facility

Qualifications:

  • 1 month to less than 7 months of experience in a labour-related role
  • Experience in food processing is advantageous
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet production goals
  • Successful completion of a Functional Work Simulation Assessment
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to perform physical and repetitive tasks for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift)
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards
  • Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
  • Basic English communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Completion of some high school education
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines

Shift Details: Day shifts (starting between 6:00 am - 7:00 am) and afternoon shifts (starting between 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm) are available, Monday through Friday.
