Job Summary

Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in our emergency department. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Practice in accordance with the Licensed Practical Nurses Act of Manitoba, CLPNM Standards of Practice, CLPNM Code of Ethics, and Scope of Practice Entry-Level Competencies.
  • Obtain and maintain relevant competencies for the position as offered by PMH.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Active practicing licensure with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM) or eligibility for active practicing licensure.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Training and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Provider and Renewal certification.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Provider and Recertification, Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Provider and Renewal certification.
  • One (1) year equivalent full-time Emergency Room experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse within the last three (3) years.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, ability to work independently, problem-solving and decision-making skills, flexibility, and knowledge of skills and concepts related to the position.
  • Ability to respect and promote confidentiality, perform duties on a regular basis, and work effectively with co-workers, clients, and within an interdisciplinary team.
