About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Business Consultant to join our Group Retirement Solutions team at People Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and delivering exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain relationships and deliver proactive consulting services to assigned clients, providing expert advice on plan design, legislative requirements, and investment strategies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to drive business growth and retention, leveraging your knowledge of group retirement solutions and exceptional communication skills.
  • Research and provide guidance to clients on complex issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Participate in business development activities, including finalist meetings and new business acquisition processes.
  • Implement and provide ongoing servicing of Group Retirement Solutions clients, ensuring seamless delivery of services.
  • Expand and maintain existing client relationships, presenting solutions and value-added services to drive business growth.
  • Assist in transitioning new business acquisitions to the ongoing management service model, ensuring a smooth client experience.
  • Prepare meeting materials, take minutes, and follow up on action items to ensure exceptional client service.
  • Develop and maintain a strong governance model for retirement clients, ensuring compliance and best practices.
  • Prioritize workflow and manage competing client deliverables, ensuring timely and effective service delivery.
  • Collaborate with team members to provide exceptional service and solutions for clients, driving business growth and retention.
  • Develop and deliver member education materials and presentations, leveraging your expertise to drive client engagement.
  • Develop and approve employee communication for plan sponsors, ensuring timely and effective communication of changes.
  • Research, write, deliver, and support the Financial Wellness solution for plan sponsors and plan members, driving client engagement and business growth.
  • Lead and contribute to ad-hoc projects to enhance client experience, driving business growth and retention.
  • Provide expertise and support within the team and with partner firms to meet overall objectives, driving business growth and retention.
  • Assist in educating and training team members to build a stronger team, driving business growth and retention.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, attending education workshops and staying current with publications and the competitive landscape.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in the retirement or pension industry, with a proven track record of building strong business relationships in client-facing and advisory roles.
  • Solutions-oriented with the ability to proactively identify business solutions for complex needs and issues.
  • Exceptional business and financial acumen, with a strong understanding of group retirement solutions.
  • Professionalism in internal and external communications, with excellent interpersonal, oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize workflow and manage competing client deliverables.
  • Outstanding team player with the ability to work independently to find solutions.
  • Undergraduate degree in business or a related field, with RPA, CEBS designation considered an asset.
  • Life licensed, or willingness to complete, with proficiency in French an asset.
  • Willingness to travel as needed, with access to a car and a valid driver's license.
