Job Title: Director of Development

CES Transformers is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Development to lead our engineering team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development of our products and ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Allocate resources to implement organizational policies and programs
  • Coordinate the work of regions, divisions, or departments
  • Represent the organization in negotiations or other official functions
  • Select middle managers, directors, or other executive staff
  • Project management
  • Plan and control budget and expenditures
  • Oversee the preparation of reports
  • Oversee the analysis of data and information
  • Leading/instructing groups
  • Hire, train, direct, and motivate staff
  • Evaluate technical designs and engineering work
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures for engineering work
  • Develop risk management plans
  • Conduct performance reviews
  • Authorize the development of specifications for products or services
Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of experience in a similar role
  • Provincial and Territorial professional engineer registration
  • MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, Information technology, AutoCAD, Enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, ANASYS
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Interpersonal awareness and team player
  • Client focus and judgement
  • Organized and able to work under pressure
