Integrative Medicine: Cannabis Program Facilitator

Job Summary:
The University Health Network is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Cannabis Educator to join our team as a Cannabis Educator Course Facilitator. This is a casual position that will report to the Continuing Education department and will be responsible for providing support to students registered in the online Integrative Medicine: Cannabis Certificate Program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Remain current in their subject area and ensure credentials are maintained
- Stay fully familiar with course content, format, resources, all assignments, and grading rubrics
- Refresh course materials on the Learning Management System (LMS) as required by adding or replacing resources, checking and revising links, and incorporating new materials as appropriate
- Ensure all materials are accurately posted onto the LMS in advance of the course start date
- Facilitate live online webinar sessions as required by the course format and materials
- Promote student engagement throughout the course via the discussion board, chat room, and/or scheduled webinars as applicable
- Monitor student progress, maintain course operations, and identify issues that may affect either
- Assess student performance using evaluation rubrics and provide effective feedback
- Maintain course quality by ensuring student feedback is reviewed and course changes are made as required
- Facilitate workshop sessions following established standards and rubrics
- Ensure that the University Health Network's academic and continuing education policies and processes are adhered to by both faculty and students
Qualifications:
- Registered Health Care Professional
- Relevant education and experience as a Medical Cannabis Educator
- Knowledge of the subject matter covered in the Certificate program
- Understanding of and commitment to learner-centered education
- Familiarity with online course pedagogic principles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving and critical decision-making skills
- Knowledge of and access to Microsoft Office
- Ability to implement and evaluate programs through e-learning using the Michener Learning Management System (LMS), virtual learning environment, and course management system
