Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team at Patron Career Staffing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely and Efficiently Operate a Forklift: Transport materials within the warehouse, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Load and Unload Materials: Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Perform Daily Equipment Checks: Perform daily equipment checks and routine maintenance on the forklift, ensuring it is in good working condition.
  • Utilize Warehouse Management Systems: Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movement, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Assist with Order Picking: Assist with order picking using a variety of equipment such as clamp trucks and order pickers, meeting customer demands and expectations.
  • Maintain a Clean and Organized Work Environment: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to company standards and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Prior Experience: Prior experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
  • Proficiency in Operating Equipment: Proficiency in operating forklifts, clamp trucks, and order pickers, with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Distribution Systems: Familiarity with warehouse distribution systems, including inventory management and tracking.
  • Ability to Perform Heavy Lifting: Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate in a fast-paced environment, with a strong emphasis on physical stamina and endurance.
  • Basic Math Skills: Basic math skills for inventory tracking and management, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Mechanical Knowledge: Mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and repair, with a strong emphasis on troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Forklift Experience: 1 year of experience operating a forklift, with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency.
License/Certification:
  • Forklift License: A valid forklift license is required, with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.
