Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Edm Machinist, Programmer, Set-up and Run Specialist to join our team at Universal Precision Technology. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for programming and operating multiple EDM, Sink and Wire Machines to produce high-quality components within tight tolerances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently program and operate multiple EDM, Sink and Wire Machines to produce high-quality components within tight tolerances.
  • Complete basic machine care and maintenance, including tasks such as filter replacement, carbide sharpening, and wire disposal.
  • Utilize and comply with all relevant manufacturing and quality standards, including AS9100 REV D and ISO 9001:2015.
  • Verify dimensions of parts and tools using precision measuring instruments.
  • Abide by instructions, regulations, and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Keep machines and surrounding areas clean and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of demonstrated ability to program, set-up, and run EDM, Sink and Wire Machines.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and CMM results.
  • Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Motivated to learn and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to cross-train on other types of machinery is an asset.
  • Machinist Trade Certificate is an asset.

  • Own Steel-toe safety shoes.
