Key Responsibilities- Assist Patients with Daily Activities
- Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities to promote physical and mental well-being
- Perform various tasks related to patient care and comfort, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Supply and empty bed pans to maintain a clean and hygienic environment
- Monitor and Record Patient Information
- Take patients' blood pressure, temperature, and pulse to track their health status
- Record and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team
- Support Patient Mobility and Safety
- Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients to prevent injuries and promote mobility
- Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher to ensure safe and comfortable movement
- Communicate with Patients and Colleagues
- Answer call signals to determine patients' needs and respond promptly
- Deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments to maintain effective communication
- Maintain a Clean and Organized Environment
- Make beds and maintain patients' rooms to ensure a clean and comfortable environment
- Maintain inventory of supplies to prevent stockouts and ensure efficient care
- Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers, refugees, youth, veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care and support
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
- Equivalent experience may be considered
- Work Term: Permanent
- Work Language: English
- Hours: 40 hours per week
