Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, respond to customer inquiries, and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Cash Handling: Operate a cash register, process transactions, and handle customer payments.
- Food Preparation: Prepare and serve food and beverages to customers, including operating a conventional oven and using manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors, and cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment and utensils.
- Inventory Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a food service environment.
- Certifications: CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Food Safety Certificate, Safe Food Handling certificate, Serving It Right Certificate, Smart Serve, and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
- Personal Qualities: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, reliability, and a team player attitude.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, overtime required, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure.
- Weight Handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
