Job Title: Network Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Systems Engineer to join our team in Montreal, Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical sales support and influencing, technical management of accounts, and serving as a trusted advisor to our customers and partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide consultative solutions-based discussions to all levels of decision makers
  • Perform technical demos, architectural and best practice designs, proof of concept trials, training, and presentations for customers, partners, prospects, and at events
  • Identify and drive the development of a territory account plan based on awareness of the business economics and trends of the industries, including vertical markets
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers and partners with the ability to differentiate and competitively position RUCKUS solutions
  • Assist the Territory and/or Partner Account Manager in driving revenue and selling solutions to achieve quota goals
Requirements:
  • A proficient understanding of pre-sales engineering, technical sales processes, and critical account management
  • Ability to communicate both written and oral technical solutions to a variety of audiences that include executive level decision makers
  • 5+ years of experience working with Wi-Fi and switching vendor solutions (Ruckus, Brocade, Juniper, Arista, Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Aruba, Aerohive, Xirrus, Extreme, Dell, etc.)
  • Strong ability to support and manage the process of troubleshooting complex technical problems
  • Highly effective technical presentation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of networking technical skills; specifically, 802.11 Wi-Fi technology evolution releases (Wi-Fi 5, 6, 7), R, wireless network optimization, IP routing and switching WAN/LAN design, setup and configuration, Layer 4-7 application services, security authentication methods and products, SASE, SD-WAN, RADIUS, AD, Virtualization environments/deployments, VM installations, (any of VMWare, KVM, Hyper-V, GCE, Azure, AWS), secure device/user onboarding solutions, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Dev Ops/REST or other common API programming knowledge
  • General knowledge of the following areas of specialization: Cloud services (Saa S); VLAN; security; Vo IP; Qo S wired/wireless; BYOD/MDM; P2 P; mesh; wireless controller architectures; Wi-Fi protocols and transmission, RF design, indoor and outdoor wireless deployments; packet capture/analysis tools; and WLAN security
  • Working knowledge of wi-fi design tools such as Ekahau, Hamina, Air Magnet, etc.
