Your Impact and Our Goals
We are looking for a highly qualified Lead Actuarial Advisor to enhance our team. In this role, you will be crucial in the design and management of defined benefit pension plans, ensuring their sustainability while addressing the needs of both employers and employees.
Responsibilities Include...
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with clients, overseeing comprehensive client service and account management, leading meetings, serving as the primary contact and trusted advisor, understanding client needs, and developing innovative solutions while collaborating with other business units to introduce additional services.
- Actuarial Consulting Services: Offering strategic recommendations for the effective management of defined benefit pension plans, including design, valuation, risk management, compliance, employee education, and administration, while aligning strategies with clients' long-term goals to ensure plan sustainability.
- Team Leadership: Fostering team engagement through mentorship, guidance, and technical support to junior members, overseeing project delivery, and managing scope, quality, budgets, and timelines.
- External Market Presence: Enhancing visibility in the industry by presenting at conferences or workshops on relevant topics related to retirement plans and pension risk management.
- Business Development: Identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, ensuring the growth of existing client relationships, and supporting RFPs, presentations, and marketing initiatives to drive lead generation.
Qualifications Include...
- Over 10 years of experience in defined benefit pension consulting
- Comprehensive knowledge of pension legislation and actuarial standards, including valuation, financial forecasting, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance
- Proven ability to build relationships with senior client stakeholders and influence decision-making
- Collaborative team player with a commitment to mentoring junior colleagues
- Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects effectively
- Proven track record of meeting performance targets
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Advanced degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline
