Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team in Community Pharmacy Services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing distribution pharmacy services, ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret medication orders and prescriptions, and dispense medications using a computerized medication information system.
  • Assess prescriptions for therapeutic suitability, taking into account the client's health status and needs.
  • Communicate with physicians, clients, and other healthcare team members to clarify prescriptions and resolve problems.
  • Provide instructions to patients on proper use, administration, storage, and disposal of medications.
  • Participate in the collection of data for medication use evaluation projects and quality control activities.
  • Contribute to internal publications and participate in clinical drug trials.
Requirements
  • Current registration as a Pharmacist with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.
  • Knowledge of drug distribution processes in a community setting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and exercise professional judgment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare practitioners and clients.
