Position Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Site Superintendent is to act as a key point of contact between the site management team and the General Contractor. This role emphasizes the importance of maintaining comprehensive project documentation, safety reports, and operational plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Daily Field Level Hazard Assessments to ensure site safety.
  • Participate in and document all JOSH, Site Toolbox, and Safety meetings.
  • Perform regular job site inspections and monitor compliance.
  • Facilitate safety orientations for new employees on-site.
  • Oversee and update training records for workers using our internal inventory system.
  • Engage in weekly trade meetings to support the Site Superintendent.
  • Serve as a liaison for all safety-related matters among employees, the Site General Contractor, Superintendent, and Foreman.
  • Ensure accurate recording of employee hours for payroll processing.
  • Manage and report man counts as required.
  • Submit Material Request Forms for job site needs.
  • Update the daily Note Vault with relevant photos and site updates.
  • Reconcile asset counts on a monthly basis.
  • Handle safety purchase orders and assist site staff with material procurement.
  • Maintain electronic storage of all safety records for accessibility.
  • Be prepared to work overtime, including weekends, as necessary.
  • Possess reliable transportation to access various job sites.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum OFA Level 1 certification; higher levels preferred.
  • Experience with construction formwork, particularly with Peri and Doka systems, is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of WorkSafe (WCB) procedures and safety practices.
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus.
  • CSO designation is considered an asset.
