Position Overview
As a vital member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, the Radiological Technologist is responsible for coordinating, executing, and assessing Diagnostic Services examinations. This role involves guiding clinical and technical staff and students within a teaching and research-oriented environment. Our technologists are dedicated to providing patient-centered care aligned with our core values of respect, innovation, and accountability.
Our Diagnostic Services team caters to a diverse array of adult and pediatric patients, operating 24/7 to ensure comprehensive service delivery. The department encompasses various modalities, including X-Ray, CT Scan, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET, Ultrasound, and Interventional Radiology.
Work Schedule
Shifts may include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and nights, with participation in a call-back rotation as necessary.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Radiological Technology program.
- Active membership with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologist of Ontario (CMRITO).
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Preferred experience of at least 2 years in a similar role.
- Completion of mandatory orientation and examinations within the first year of employment.
- Successful completion of an ECG rhythm interpretation course is required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
- Evidence of ongoing education and professional development.
- Membership in CAMRT/OAMRS is preferred.
As part of the employment process, proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is required.
