As a Senior Automation Engineer, your role will involve:
Enhancing the quality of our offerings. Collaborating with the QA organization, you will contribute to defining and implementing a robust QA mentality throughout the organization. As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will work closely with various teams to establish test plans and strategies, assist in identifying and triaging bugs, and develop automated tests to preemptively catch and mitigate issues. Your contributions will significantly impact the quality of the products released by our teams.
Your TeamThe QA Organization comprises 15 dedicated QA professionals who collaborate closely with Product teams, Engineers, support staff, and other cross-functional teams to ensure thorough testing of our products prior to client use. This is a highly visible and essential role that will help shape and implement QA processes across different teams, ensuring comprehensive manual and automated testing to deliver high-quality products.
About You- Proficient in creating automated tests using Python and Selenium.
- Ability to grasp the technical requirements of teams and assist in establishing QA processes and a QA mindset.
- Proactive in addressing overlooked problems and acting as an owner.
- Skilled in independently identifying patterns and issues that lead to friction and bugs.
- Mentoring junior team members to foster their growth and development.
- Implementing existing QA processes while iterating and enhancing them.
- Monitoring and tracking issues for the teams you engage with.
- Defining the testing scope and automation strategy for your team.
- Strong programming skills in at least one OOP language such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or Go (Python preferred).
- Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and hands-on experience with deployment tools like CircleCI, Jenkins, ArgoCD, and Docker.
- Expertise in automation design patterns, with proven experience in both backend and frontend projects.
- Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, with a preference for Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with tools such as Postman and JMeter.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Education or equivalent experience is required.
