About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and physically fit individual to join our team at Ruskin Enterprises Ltd as a Construction Assistant. This is a permanent position that requires a high level of energy and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Assist in loading and unloading construction materials from vehicles and equipment.
  • Material Handling: Transport and store construction materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
  • Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, leveling earth, and paving surfaces.
  • Demolition and Debris Removal: Assist in demolishing buildings and removing rubble and debris from construction sites.
  • Traffic Control: Direct traffic at or near construction sites to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Material Mixing and Application: Assist in mixing and applying materials such as concrete and asphalt.
  • Tool Maintenance: Assist in maintaining and repairing tools and equipment as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, at heights, and in confined spaces.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week.
