Job Title: Supply Student Support Person

The Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Supply Student Support Person.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to support students with various physical, cognitive, and learning needs. As a Supply Student Support Person, you will work closely with students, teachers, and other support staff to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with physical, cognitive, and learning needs
  • Support students in academic and social settings
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to Board policies and procedures

Requirements:

Applicants must have successfully completed a Diploma Program in a Community Services related field (e.g., DSW, CYC, SSW, ECE, NCFS, EA, R&LS). General knowledge of standard practices and procedures associated with the care of students with special needs is essential. Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills are required.
