As a prominent leader in the design and manufacturing field, Active Exhaust Corp is in search of a dedicated and experienced Director of Human Resources to enhance our successful team. We are looking for a professional with robust expertise in human resources.

The Director of Human Resources will oversee and manage all HR functions across our corporate office and manufacturing facilities. Reporting directly to the Chief Administration Officer (CAO), this position will act as a strategic partner to the leadership team while providing operational support to ensure the successful implementation of HR initiatives that contribute to organizational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic HR Leadership: Offer expert advice and coaching to department heads and leadership on all HR-related issues, including employee relations, talent management, performance evaluation, and organizational development.
  • Employee Relations: Guide the leadership team on complex employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, attendance management, and the progressive discipline process, ensuring adherence to company policies and relevant labor laws.
  • Business Partnership: Cultivate strong relationships with operational departments to grasp their business objectives and proactively implement HR solutions that align with corporate strategies.
  • Talent Acquisition: Manage the entire recruitment process, handling multiple job openings concurrently and ensuring recruitment goals are achieved. Lead the development and execution of talent acquisition strategies to attract high-caliber candidates.
  • Talent Management: Direct talent management initiatives, including performance assessments, individual development plans, succession planning, and employee engagement programs. Ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Onboarding & Integration: Organize and facilitate comprehensive onboarding programs. Supervise new hire integration and monitor employee progress during the probationary period to ensure a seamless transition into the organization.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Analyze and maintain compensation data, preparing detailed reports for the corporate compensation team. Oversee the administration of compensation review processes, ensuring competitive and fair compensation practices.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously identify and implement opportunities to enhance HR processes, improve efficiency, and increase the overall effectiveness of the HR team.
  • HR Metrics & Reporting: Regularly track, analyze, and report on key HR metrics, providing insights and recommendations to the leadership team to support informed decision-making.
  • Project Management: Lead various HR projects as necessary, from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and timely delivery.
  • Time & Attendance Management: Oversee time and attendance systems, ensuring accurate tracking and compliance with company policies and labor regulations.
  • Legal Compliance: Manage any employment-related legal matters, escalating internally as needed, to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned to support the HR function and organizational goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, along with a CHRL designation in good standing with the HRPA is required.
  • A Master's degree in HR, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Leadership, or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
  • Experience in leading corporate culture transformation.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced setting.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and data analytics.
