About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Technician to join our Site Services and Infrastructure team at the Detour Lake Mine site, reporting to the Site Services Supervisor.

The Detour Lake Mine is a world-class gold mine, and our team is responsible for maintaining the reliability and efficiency of our industrial systems. As an HVAC Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our HVAC units and refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC units and refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency;
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair equipment according to company standards and manufacturer specifications;
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations;
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting of maintenance activities and equipment performance;
  • Collaborate with the Site Services Supervisor and other team members to develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules and objectives;
  • Support the safe operation of all applicable units and systems, identifying and reporting any safety concerns or issues;
  • Promote a positive health, safety, and environment culture within the team and the organization.
Requirements
  • 313A Refrigeration License certification or equivalent;
  • G1 Gas Technician certification or equivalent;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial/commercial/mining work setting;
  • Experience with computerized HVAC systems and troubleshooting;
  • Minimum valid G2 Driver's License;
  • Proven commitment to health, safety, and the environment;
  • Exceptional ability to work within a diverse team.
