A&W Restaurants Inc. is a leading fast-food chain with a strong presence in British Columbia and the Yukon Territories. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team.
Job Summary
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring high-quality customer experiences, and driving business growth and profitability. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily restaurant operations, including staff scheduling, inventory control, and cash handling.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction, sales, and profitability.
- Lead and motivate a team of employees, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback.
- Monitor and control costs, including labor, inventory, and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the Area Manager and HR to recruit, hire, and develop staff.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to employees.
- Manage conflicts and resolve issues in a fair and timely manner.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and company initiatives.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in food service management, preferably in a fast-food environment.
- Proven track record of success in managing teams, improving customer satisfaction, and driving sales growth.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with restaurant operating systems and software.
- Knowledge of financial management, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Ability to give presentations and communicate effectively with employees, customers, and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Some heavy lifting required.
