About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at Dexterra. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring high-quality standards and presentation.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive dining experience.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
  • Team Leadership: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Supply Chain Management: Order supplies and equipment as needed, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing disruptions to kitchen operations.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Health and Financial Benefits: Dental plan, disability benefits, health care plan, vision care benefits, and life insurance.
  • Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, with a permanent employment contract.
  • Language: English.
