Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Elementary Education Professional to join our team at Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board. As a Junior and Intermediate Classroom Resource Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and personal growth of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and support students in Junior and Intermediate divisions
  • Develop and implement inclusive instructional strategies to meet the needs of students with multiple exceptionalities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver effective lessons
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure student success
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices

Requirements:

  • Basic qualifications to teach in Junior and Intermediate divisions
  • Special Education Part I certification
  • Preferred Requirements:
    • Special Education Part II or Specialist certification
    • Additional qualifications in Reading
    • Sound knowledge of Ontario Catholic Curriculum and effective strategies to teach Literacy and Numeracy
    • Knowledge and experience in implementing Universal Design for Learning principles
    • Proven ability to implement effective classroom management strategies
    • Willingness to actively assume extra-curricular duties
