Position Overview

The role of a Commercial Air Conditioning Mechanic involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems. This position is crucial for ensuring optimal performance and efficiency in climate control systems.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years and less than 3 years of relevant experience is necessary.
Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately measure and establish reference points for installation.
  • Assemble and install components related to refrigeration and air conditioning.
  • Utilize welding and brazing equipment to measure, cut, and connect piping.
  • Initiate system operations and conduct leak tests using appropriate testing devices.
  • Perform routine maintenance, including recharging systems with refrigerant and calibrating regulators.
  • Diagnose and repair parts and components for comprehensive refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, or heat pump systems.
Certifications

Possession of a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Trade Certification is essential.

Work Environment
  • Physical capabilities include bending, crouching, and kneeling.
