Virtual Design and Construction Manager

About the Role:
The Virtual Design and Construction Manager will oversee the operations of the VDC Services business, providing high-quality consulting, construction technology, and architectural services to our internal construction business and external clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and execute VDC Services projects to ensure timely delivery, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
- Utilize expertise in 3D modeling, CAD, laser scanning, reality capture, drone operations, 360 photo capture, BIMFM, asset information modeling, rendering, visualizations, animations, and 4D videos.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external clients, ensuring exceptional customer service and communication with various stakeholders.
- Manage resources, including equipment, software, and tools, ensuring they are in proper working order.
- Represent and run high-profile meetings when necessary.
- Manage budgeting and billable hours, ensuring accurate cost and time tracking.
- Prepare and review invoices for clients, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
Requirements:
- University degree or Technology Diploma in Engineering, Architecture, M&E, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in VDC, BIM, or related fields, including consulting experience.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software and technologies (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, laser scanning equipment and software, drone technology).
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and take ownership of tasks and projects, while being able to collaborate effectively with team members and project stakeholders.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects of varying size, simultaneously.
- Primarily office-based with occasional active construction site visits.
- Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in a related field. Professional certifications in VDC/BIM technologies considered an asset (Building Transformations, BuildingSMART, etc.)
