About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Tire Technician to join our team at Alaska Highway Rescue Ltd. as a key member of our maintenance crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform tire changes, repairs, and balancing on a variety of vehicles, including automobiles, trucks, and heavy equipment.
  • Assist mechanics with routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, fluid checks, and filter replacements.
  • Install and repair exhaust systems, mufflers, and other components on heavy equipment.
  • Provide on-site services, including tire repairs and replacements, at our work sites.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, often in confined spaces, and be able to lift and move heavy equipment and tools.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with frequent bending, crouching, and standing for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks that require precision and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends, and be available for on-call work as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in the automotive or heavy equipment industry.
  • Knowledge of tire repair and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
