Job Title: Plumbing Project Manager

A highly established local Mechanical Company is seeking a skilled Plumbing Project Manager to lead their construction projects from conception to completion.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate mechanical construction projects, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of project details, including materials, equipment, and labor requirements.
  • Collaborate with project team members to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Plan and implement strategies to prevent problems and resolve emerging issues.
  • Estimate and sell projects of various types, including plan/spec, design/assist, and design/build.
  • Oversee the preparation of fabrication shop work packages and possess a strong understanding of content, including detail drawing review, material take-off, and man-hour fabrication budget.
  • Work closely with the Safety Department to analyze, manage, and mitigate project risks, ensuring safety on each job site.
  • Ensure contractual conditions of performance are met.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in plumbing project management, with a strong understanding of mechanical plans/spec and design/build industry.
  • Effective cost management and material purchasing skills.
  • 5+ years of experience in plumbing project management.
  • Plumbing Journeyman License.
  • Commercial and industrial experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree or demonstrated equivalent experience.
  • Strong analytical and logic skills, with the ability to maintain precision on detailed work.
  • Stable work history and a proven track record in construction management or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
  • Knowledge of HVAC and Piping Systems, building products, construction details/design, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Familiarity with construction management software packages and strong computer skills.
  • Proficient in P6 or Microsoft Project and able to provide examples of a project resource-loaded schedule.
  • Self-motivated with excellent time and project management skills.
  • Possesses a strong personal commitment to long-term and meaningful goals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Experience with estimating is a plus, with the ability to complete estimates for change orders and extract estimated hours to build a resource-loaded schedule.
  • Demonstrate confidence in their knowledge and a commitment to researching answers and finding the right solution.
