Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Site Manager/Caretaker to join our team at Cumberland. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and security within our school environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a full range of caretaking, maintenance, and cleaning duties to ensure a safe and healthy environment for students, staff, and visitors.
  • Act as the main key holder for the school and respond to alarm activations out of hours as required.
  • Comply with health and safety at work regulations and ensure that all facilities are maintained to a high standard.
  • Provide a flexible and hardworking approach to meet the demands of the role.
  • Develop and maintain a practical knowledge of DIY skills to support the maintenance of school facilities.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous, but we are looking for someone with high levels of interest and commitment, along with the necessary skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate a commitment to the school ethos and be an effective communicator.
  • Passion for the school, its children, staff, and parents, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
