The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Exploitation Engineer to join our Mica team in Calgary. As a critical thinker with excellent interpersonal skills, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and tracking the asset's capital program. You will support the development and delivery of the company's capital and operating plans and continual optimization of the Montney assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute short and long-term capital and operating plans
- Complete economic analysis and provide input on capital allocation decisions
- Provide engineering support for existing and new play concepts
- Monitor industry and competitor activity and identify opportunities for new technology application
- Support multi-disciplinary teams to manage accurate drilling inventory
- Apply previous oil and gas asset evaluation experience to conduct technical evaluations for acquisition targets
Requirements
- Senior level engineering experience with 8 years in drilling, completions, production, reservoir, exploitation, and/or development
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and registered as a professional engineer with APEGA
- Experience in Unconventional North American resource plays, with a strong preference for Montney experience
- Strong proficiency in short and long-term planning, budgeting, forecasting, asset evaluations, and the ability to influence decisions through technical analysis
