Job Title: Educator, Data Scientist Toronto

BrainStation is a leading organization in digital skills training, offering a 12-week bootcamp program in Data Science. We are currently seeking a Data Science professional to join our team as an Educator.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach the 12-week Data Science Diploma program to students
  • Participate in building a highly skilled technical team focused on teaching and innovation
  • Deliver lectures and provide technical guidance to students working on cutting-edge projects
  • Lead in-class activities, discussions, and mentor students
  • Contribute to designing BrainStation's curriculum
  • Research and develop new educational content
  • Apply Agile Education methodologies to enhance the student learning experience
  • Continuously improve own skills and collaborate with peers
  • Help define the future of education
Requirements:
  • 3-5+ years experience in Data Science or Analytics
  • Bachelor's degree related to the subject matter or 8+ years of relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in SQL, R, Python, and visualization tools
  • Experience with various modeling and machine learning techniques
  • Hands-on experience with version control and Big Data platforms
  • Prior experience leading technical teams and teaching
  • Strong work ethic and desire for continuous learning
  • Passion for mentoring and creating positive learning environments
