About the Role

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team. As a Service Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the proper functioning of our equipment fleet, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed to avoid downtime at customer locations
  • Dismantle, reassemble, and rebuild equipment as required
  • Deliver and install climate control related equipment as needed
  • Diagnose and repair standard mechanical equipment problems
  • Fabricate parts as needed
  • Perform regular and service level safety inspections on equipment
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Meet all company, governmental, and equipment-specific safety requirements

Requirements

  • Minimum Gas Technician G2 certificate
  • Minimum of one to three years' experience
  • Sound technical knowledge of propane/ng appliances, equipment, and plant operations
  • Oil burning equipment knowledge an asset, willing to train
  • Valid driver's license with three years' experience and clean drivers abstract
  • DZ driver's license an asset, willing to train
  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects on a regular basis
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Knowledge and ability to use computers, specifically mobile computing devices
