Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Driver Class 1 to join our team at Bombardier. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for transporting goods on an inter-factory circuit between Dorval, Pointe-Claire, and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a heavy vehicle, 26'/33,000 lb with 6 or 10 wheels, to transport goods safely and efficiently.
  • Transport dangerous materials and high-value aeronautical parts, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Use an electric or manual pallet truck and/or a Raymond-type standing lift to move materials as needed.
  • Work as a team, communicate, and support other drivers when necessary to ensure smooth operations.
  • Carry out mandatory inspection rounds and keep a simplified register for the heavy vehicle.
  • Complete mandatory classroom and online training to maintain and improve your skills.
Requirements
  • Have a high school diploma or higher.
  • Hold a valid CVL class 1 or 3 license (heavy vehicle driving) and two years of experience.
  • Have an impeccable SAAQ CVL file (SAAQCLICK).
  • Relevant experience in the transport of Dangerous Materials is an asset.
  • Having completed basic WHMIS training is an asset.
  • Exhibit safe, courteous, and exemplary road behavior.
  • Be able to make decisions without neglecting aspects of Health & Safety at work.
  • Be flexible and demonstrate a good ability to adapt to unforeseen or priority situations.
