We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at Georama Growers. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our heavy equipment fleet.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshooting and Inspection: Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, ensuring prompt and efficient repair.
- Diagnostic and Repair: Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required, and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications.
- Inventory Management: Order parts and maintain inventory levels to ensure timely repair and maintenance of equipment.
- Equipment Adjustment and Repair: Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts to ensure optimal performance.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and documentation of maintenance activities, including test results and repair history.
- Equipment Testing: Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
- Attachment and Tool Service: Attach components and adjust new farm equipment, and service attachments and working tools as required.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work as required to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
- Emission Control Systems: Verify and repair emission control systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Demonstrate accurate and meticulous work habits, with a focus on attention to detail.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Show flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced work environment, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Judgement and Decision-Making: Demonstrate sound judgement and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and make informed decisions.
- Reliability and Accountability: Demonstrate reliability and accountability in meeting deadlines and delivering results.
- Work Term and Language: Work a regular 35-40 hour week, with English as the primary language of communication.
